Beautiful dress, but need to understand more about sizing

Hello, the dress is beautiful, but very tight around the arms/shoulders. I am 5'1" and 120lbs. I generally wear XS or S in petites (J Jill, Anthropologie, Talbots, etc.) so opted for the XS since no petite options available. I understand sale items are final sale, but I'm hoping to speak to someone about the possibility on this my first order to exchange for a small if at all possible. I have been following Sheridan French for some time post learning about you from my dear friend and interior designer Ashley Houston of Houston House Design in Chapin, SC. This dress does not disappoint --- the colors are far better than photographed. The Caty dress is always a winner, but this color palette is exceptional! The embellishment in shades of blue also add much interest.
